Brad Pitt uncovers why he moved in the opposite direction of his, 'exceptionally intense' folks



Brad Pitt has opened up about his "strict" youth. The on-screen character uncovered that in resistance to his strict Christian childhood and his guardian's solid religious convictions, he now views himself as a nonbeliever.

The star, who was brought up in a Southern Baptist family unit, told The Telegraph magazine that his dad was, "exceptionally intense" and that he and his kin were raised "with all the Christian blame about what you ought to and shouldn't do."

"One thing my people constantly focused was being competent, doing things for yourself. [My father] was huge on uprightness – and that educated a great deal of what [we] attempt to do now."
